Cycleway from Banwell to Winscombe along A371 needed to link Banwell to the Strawberry Line and provide a safe route to Churchill school
A cycle path is needed because the traffic speed is too fast and cyclists choose to cycle on the pavement to feel safe, this in turn makes it dangerous for pedestrians walking on the pavement
Develop the Blagdon to Congresbury spur of the Strawberry Line for walking and cycling. Could be used as a way for local residents along the line to reach services in the various villages or to link it part of a longer leisure route.
This is a narrow pavement never used for walking. But it would be a useful cycle lane for cyclists commuting between the School of Veterinary Science in Langford and Shipham, a popular residence for workers and some students. Cycling uphill … [more]
Cycle link to Festival Way cycle path joins the A370 at a dangerous bend. Extend cycleway along wide verge to a new crossing point in vicinity of the Jubilee Public House. Crossing to serve pedestrians to bus stop and lay-by.
Need to create a safe footpath/cycleway from the town centre to the Hillside area - one that is attractive to use and with appropriate gradients.
Limit car space (car space-charge). We need more investments in direct bicycle pathways (from suburbs to town-center) and public infrastructure projects (widen the pavements) for those who use wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
The Down Road is way too fast and it's only safe when there are masses of cars dropping off their children at High Down School. If a DEFINED cycleway was introduced (with physical separation from the "road") along the length of Down Road … [more]
Cycleway needed between Burrington Turn and the bus stops on the a38 so people can go between blagdon/rickford/chew valley and langord bus stops/churchill old road/GPs/budgets/school
Upgrade footpath to cycle path so people can cycle to Blagdon from the west - Clanders Batch is too steep and the Coombe too steep and dangerous
Traffic backs up frequently, too narrow for cycles. Cycle lane needed to encourage sustainable travel
Electric bikes here to borrow to get to Nailsea could help with first and last mile. Improvements to the train station to include ramps is a must
This is a problematic corner for cyclists wishing to access Chelvey Road from West Town Road - very busy, and doesn't feel safe when waiting to turn right.
The cycle route effectively runs out here, spilling people out into the village centre. It would be great if a way could be found to extend the route so that it joins up with Chelvey Road
The junction between Dundry Lane and the A38 is very dangerous for all, car, bicycle and pedestrian. Road calming and safe crossings needs to be introduced here.
Winford Lane is one of 3 options for people to travel from Dundry to Winford - which many parents do twice a day to/from school in Winford. (other routes are along the Wells Road and along the A38). Could Winford Lane be a slow lane? It … [more]

Build outs with cycle filters through them do not work - cars parked behind them make them either impassable or dangerous when rejoining carriageway

Kissing gate removed for regular bikes, but how do cargo bikes or accessible bikes get through? This is tight through here
Pinch point here means that cyclists have to dismount to get their bikes through. How would someone with a cargo bike or 3 wheeler get through?
Remove the parked cars and replace with a segregated cycle lane. This feels very dangerous cycling up this steep hill when cars try to overtake round a blind bend
This lane is regularly blocked by flooding to walkers and cyclists. Please install drainage so it can be used more often.
Too many cars rat running this road, cars parked along road mean often facing speeding oncoming traffic. Can be dangerous for cycling
I know the pavement is not an official cycleway, but it could be. If the vegetation was cleared from the pavement, there would be plenty of room for pedestrians and cyclists. The A38 is simply not safe for cyclists. We really need a … [more]
Hobbs Lane is part of the Avon Cycleway and a v important pedestrian and cycle connection from Barrow Gurney to the A38 and it's critical the council maintain their regular maintenance programme to maintain the roadway & keep hedges cut … [more]
Hedges need cutting regularly so cyclists & pedestrians can get through and pass each other. At times growth touches you on both sides..including stinging nettles.
Overgrown with brambles & nettles from both sides. Not cut back this year as it was in previous years.
Hedges overgrown restricting access for villagers walking to access buses on the A38.Also is on a national cycle route.
Langford Lane is obvious lane to use to cycle to bus stop at Yew Tree Close or onto Budgens at Churchill & Doctors. Making this lane suitable for cycling & walking would encourage more to cycle/walk rather than drive from Burrington, Upper … [more]
North Road is effectively the cycle path to/from Suspension Bridge, rather than the official one next to Ashton Court, why not mark it out on the road, would feel safer for families cycling together.
Cycleway needed from Wolvershill Road to Morrisons to make route safer for active travel. I take my life in my hands every time I cycle to the station in Worle.

This is a very steep uphill section of the A369 and as there’s a wide grass verge it could be turned into a short 75m cycle-lane between the two junctions of Happerton Lane; could also be shared with pedestrians.
The route from the hospital to Bleadon and beyond on the A370 is frequently used by cyclists but is extremely fast and dangerous. The pavement is inadequate for both cyclists and pedestrians and needs widening so more people can use it, … [more]

This is a main road (A370) with heavy traffic. I consider it unsafe to cycle in the road. The pavement is narrow and very uneven. Either a) The existing pavement should be widened and maintained to a good standard, so that it can be used … [more]
Cycle path ends suddenly at edge of carpark. Either needs extended route through and dropped kerb to rejoin road, or amendment/reconfiguration/ permission to cycle past school.
The pedestrian path over this bridge and down toward the hospital roundabout is designated as a shared user path, however is not wide enough for pedestrians/cyclists to comfortably share it
Could you paint a really bright coloured pathway across the tarmac where the cycle path crosses over? Cars come through here quickly, and there are a lot of kids who use the path, so would be an easy way to remind cars to watch out for … [more]
After cycling to the shops, there doesn't seem to be a clear way south without going up the high street and down Brockway or walking back to the other side of the car park. Suggestion is to either be able to cycle both ways on the High … [more]
Turning right into the other part of Station Road is dangerous. Cars come down Brockway fast, and what you thought was a clear turn is suddenly a dangerous near miss. Suggestion traffic calming.
A beautiful road. On a bike it's amazing. However it's super risky on a bike. Suggestion is to put signs up warning there may be bikes round the next blind bend. Perhaps to keep speed low too.
The pavement here is neglected, with brambles and acorns etc. Suggestion to clean this up and make this wider for cycle path
As the cycle lane ends merging with the traffic is at a point where cars seem to have sped up up the hill (and cyclists slow down) meaning going through the Queens Road junction is risky for all but the fittest. Also the road surface is … [more]
Cycling this stretch from the bridge to the hill is risky. Cars want to overtake, and there's only so much width, I do it, but I tell my family not to. A dedicated lane is needed.
There is currently no safe way to get out of Banwell to Worle on foot or on a bike. By creating a path or safe cycleway you would increase the chances of the people of Banwell using bikes to get to Worle and beyond via the train station … [more]
