One of two kissing gates on the Brean Down Way / NCN33 between Uphill and Brean. Like the other gate the space on this one is restricted and overgrown. There is just sufficient space for a standard cycle - a tandem, bike and trailer, or … [more]

A swing gate on the NCN33 / Brean Down Way. Return spring is very strong, and the latch is stiff to operate. This is one of three similar gates on this section of pathway.

Barrier chicane at the point where the Strawberry Line / NCN26 merges with the pavement on Station Road in Sandford. The barrier spacing is not as bad as some at just over 1m, but the barriers are placed partway up a fairly steep slope, … [more]

Bollard chicane at the junction of the Festival Way / NCN33 path with Backwell Bow. There are two smaller bollards behind the larger one (one is obscured in the photo), producing quite a tight space for access of approximately 90cm.

A Frame on NCN33 / Brean Down Way, on Brean Sluice. Space through the frames is 72cm. There is a lock on the gate alongside, but it is not a RADAR lock. This is one of six obstacles on the BDW between WsM and Brean - one A frame, two … [more]

Swing gate on NCN33 Brean Down Way. No alternative to this gate, latch and return spring are quite stiff.
